Terms for Commissions

We love our community when they create content for us. But sometimes there are jobs or assignments that don't work out as intended. That's why we've set a simple rule about what we expect from commissions. In the end, we want a fair deal, and so do you.

These terms are similar to uploading a song to Spotify. In order for the whole thing to work we need all the rights, like Spotify.

This is an extension of our agreement between you and us.

TL;DR:

• You may use your work for your portfolio.

• You may stream the progress of your work during creation.

• You may not resell the work you have created for us.

• We’re allowed to mix your work in livestream (eg. Start Screen).

• We’re allowed to upload your work on Twitch and other platforms to use your work in chat.

• We’re allowed to make money with your work through subscriptions, for example.

• No royalty-free shall be paid.

Agreement

You may create, sell, or otherwise contribute content to the Cologne Community MeetUps ("Work").

You retain ownership of your Work. However, in order for us to use your Work, we do need a limited license from you to that Work. Accordingly, you hereby grant to Cologne Community MeetUps ("bitinflow GbR") a exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, fully paid, irrevocable, worldwide license to reproduce, make available, perform and display, translate, modify, create derivative works from, distribute, and otherwise use any such Work through any medium, whether alone or in combination with other Content or materials, in any manner and by any means, method or technology, whether now known or hereafter created, in connection with the Cologne Community MeetUps ("bitinflow GbR"). Where applicable and to the extent permitted under applicable law, you also agree to waive, and not to enforce, any "moral rights" or equivalent rights, such as your right to be identified as the author of any Work, including Feedback, and your right to object to derogatory treatment of such Work.

Confidentiality & Publicity

You will: (a) protect and not disclose information made available by us that is identified as confidential or that reasonably should be considered confidential; (b) use this information only to fulfill your obligations under this Agreement; and (c) either destroy or return all such information to us promptly when this Agreement terminates (and, upon request, confirm such destruction in writing). This paragraph covers all confidential information regardless of when you receive it. You acknowledge that the Cologne Community MeetUps may make public statements describing Work along with its integration with the Cologne Community MeetUps.
